Meet TCP’s Membership Ambassadors!
As you may have heard, this month at Tottenham Community Press (TCP) we are focusing on a membership campaign which we have kick started. We gave a little teaser earlier in the week that we would be revealing our Membership Ambassadors to you for which the time has now come! Please allow us to introduce you to…
Social Entrepreneur | Musician | Brand Ambassador | Community Leader | Millennial Advocate
An award-winning entrepreneur & musician, known locally and on a wider scale as WondRWomN. She is the founder of The RecordShop, a free recording studio and artist development programme for disadvantaged young people aged 16–25 years old, based on Tottenham High Road.
Mary has previously partnered with global brands, such as O2 Telefonica, Samsung, Nike, Tottenham Hotspurs and RedBull to help them reach millennial audiences. She also performed locally and internationally, shows include Sofar Sounds (London, UK, 2020), Fabrica (Vila Real de Santo Antonio, Portugal, 2020) and Sala Paul (Jerez, Spain, 2019).
Here is what Mary has to say about TCP and why she became and ambassador for us:
“TCP were one of the first publications to cover my journey, I remember feeling so proud and empowered having light shed on my work. TCP helps to connect different aspects of the community together by listening to our voices and sharing our stories”
“Being based in Tottenham for the past 4 years, I have built a strong network that bridges the gap between the inner-city community and lifestyle brands. I am passionate about bringing young people into professional spaces and reconnecting brands with youth and music culture”
If you’re a brand looking to expand your reach to socially savvy, music loving millennials, please send an email to email@example.com
WondR WomN pledged to become a TCP membership Ambassador because she thinks local news is important. We think it is vital for locals to know what is happening around them. We want everyone to be able to access local news for free. Contributing as a member helps us to reach our goal, because we don’t want to have a paywall. Teriy is a really positive role model in the Tottenham community, which is why we are glad to have him on board as an Ambassador for our local newspaper!
The role of our ambassadors is to help us spread the word about TCP locally and beyond, letting people know the value of local, community journalism. As you can see, our ambassadors have a positive reputation in Tottenham and their work within the community is very much aligned with our ethos.
Please do keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks, as we do have more Ambassadors that we are excited to reveal to you!
